Anil Group forays into knowledge solutions Business

Anil Group of Companies has forayed into the knowledge solutions business through its new venture, Ascent Knowledge Solutions Ltd. (AKS). Group plans to invest $ 10 million (`52 crore) in this business in the near future. The new company has built a team of business and technology experts worldwide with experience in every facet of business process and business technology integration.

AKS has set up a 100% subsidiary in the USA, Ascent Knowledge Solutions Incorporated (AKSI) and brought on board two highly qualified and experienced technocrats, Prof. David W. Zimny, President –AKSI and Mr. Brad Waller, Executive Vice President - AKSI, with expertise in IT & management consultancy to head the US operations. The company has it’s headquarter in Atlanta. It has some eminent professionals on its advisory board, naming a few Mr. Greg Sherry (Data Centre Expert), Raymond S. Causey (Executive Management, Project Leadership, Technology Expertise), Jean S. Corson (Leadership Development, Team Performance, Human Interface), Joseph C. Gagliardo Jr. (Database Development, Application Development, Mentoring).

The USA based company has initiated a project on Remote Power Monitoring system in partnership with PEI (Power & Environment International), a company based in California & Nevada and servicing the entertainment & gaming industry. Currently one such project is on at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada.

In India, with the economy growing, there is a huge need and potential in the areas of IT infrastructure, networking & the trained professionals to build and help maintain such infrastructure. AKS will focus on providing solutions to companies related to high speed local area network, wide area network, wireless network, fibre optic communication, remote resource monitoring and will also provide training through its specially designed courseware.

Nalin Thakur, Group President (HR & Systems), Anil Group & Director, AKS said, “In India, AKS will also focus on business processes and activities mapping, project management & HR related practices as there lies a huge potential with the SMEs who are growing and wanting to professionalise and change the systems and processes.”

In US, with the companies’ focus on cost management through efficiencies improvement using the latest technological trends & means, AKS aims to provide solutions in the space of data & information by putting in place Remote Resource Monitoring System to make available timely information through various communication means.

The President of AKSI (US), Prof. David W. Zimny is a consultant and retired Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia. He has developed courses in RF communications systems, microwave devices and antennas and was Director of the Wilder Communications Centre. 

Brad Waller, Executive Vice President, AKSI (US) a consultant in hardware design and development, network integration and deployment and enterprise systems, has been instrumental in designing a variety of specialised hardware interfaces, corporate networks and interoperable software in companies throughout the world. He has provided training programs in networking infrastructure, operating systems and interoperability for industry professionals.
