Autonomy and HP Deliver archiving, eDiscovery and search appliances
Autonomy, an HP Company, today announced the availability of three new HP Autonomy
Appliances designed to provide organizations with simplified, reliable, and
turn-key solutions for specific applications.
Powered by the Autonomy Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), the new appliances
provide organizations with powerful, flexible, and cost-effective solutions
for archiving, eDiscovery, and enterprise search. These finely-tuned appliances
are optimized architectures based on Autonomy IDOL and HP Converged Infrastructure,
including HP ProLiant servers and HP Storage, giving customers industry-leading
reliability, performance, and scalability.
The new HP Autonomy Appliances are ideal for todays business environment.
Organizations seek fast and flexible applications that can process growing volumes
of human information and structured data. In the case of eDiscovery, businesses
often need to respond very quickly to legal and regulatory challenges. The eDiscovery
Appliance enables organizations to get up and running immediately, giving legal
teams a significant advantage as they prepare their case. In enterprise search
there is a growing demand at the low-end of the market for turn-key solutions
that enable fast and easy implementations.
The HP Autonomy Appliances are purpose-built solutions that allow organizations
to tap in to the power of Autonomy IDOL, Autonomys private cloud, and
HP Converged Infrastructure. Autonomy IDOL automatically indexes all relevant
information, forming an understanding of all conceptually related content and
topics within both unstructured and structured information. This unique capability
proves invaluable in high-stakes information management applications, such as
eDiscovery, in which an organization must quickly identify all relevant content
related to a particular topic.
Additionally, the appliances leverage Autonomys private cloud, Autonomy
Digital Safe, which is the worlds largest at over 31 Petabytes. Autonomy
Digital Safe is based on a unique split-cell architecture and grid-based design
that is massively scalable, maintaining performance under any load.
Todays HP Autonomy Appliances announcement is a great example of
the tremendous benefits we can deliver to customers as a result of the combination
of HP and Autonomy, said Sanjay Aurora, vice president, Enterprise Sales,
Asia Pacific and Japan, Autonomy, an HP company. Businesses of all sizes
can benefit from Autonomys unique ability to understand and process 100
percent of an organizations data, and by tightly integrating with HP hardware,
we will deliver performance and cost-efficiencies that are second to none.
Key capabilities in the Autonomy Appliances
- Archiving Appliance automatically ingests,
deduplicates, indexes and extracts metadata from all data types, including
audio, video, social media, email, web content and SharePoint files.
- eDiscovery Appliance provides end-to-end
eDiscovery capabilities, including identification, preservation, collection,
processing, analysis, review and production. The appliance also includes a
dashboard that provides visibility into each phase of the Electronic Discovery
Reference Model, and analysis of critical data points, including case status,
cost, data volume and litigation trends.
- Enterprise Search Appliance provides visibility
into the entire spectrum of enterprise data, from unstructured to structured
data. The Enterprise Search Appliance includes automatic categorization, tagging,
linking, retrieval and profiling of all forms of data regardless of repository,
enabling the delivery of large volumes of pertinent information.
- HP Converged Infrastructure enables organizations
to accelerate time to business value by turning rigid technology silos into
adaptive pools of assets that can be shared by many applications and managed
as a service. By building this appliance on an integrated infrastructure of
servers, storage, networking and security all managed through a common management
platform.
