Belkin captures big slice of Indian wireless networking market

Belkin has sold close to 40,000 units in the quarter ending Sep2009, says an IDC report. The company has registered massive growth in the networking space compared to its negligible share in India, in early 2009. Belkin has also attained the No. 1 position in ‘Wireless NIC & Dongle’ product sub-category during the quarter. Belkin has attained overall revenues of $1.6 million in the wireless networking category in the same period.

“Strong design fundamentals, customer-centric product functionality, market friendly pricing, lower field complaints, and ever strong channel recommend have all helped us post such spectacular results,” said Mohit Anand, Managing Director, Belkin India. “But the best is yet to come. In 2010, newer and more user friendly product launches are planned and we are well positioned to capture even bigger slice of the Indian wireless networking business,” he added.

Belkin offers a wide range of WLAN products for the G, N150, N, and N+ product segments. With new vertical designs Belkin WLAN routers offer sleek black finish with blue iconic status LEDs, clean lines. These new design enhancements are not only visually pleasing but also technically advantageous for the vertical shape allows for better airflow to keep the wireless routers cool, enhancing performance. The antennae are situated atop each Router to supply and maintain a strong wireless signal.
