The economic downturn has led to mass lay-offs across nations.
With businesses having to adopt cost-cutting measures, human resource management
across organizations has also been adversely impacted. Here comes the significance
of a robust workforce management solution which can help organizations to manage
their people asset better. Workforce management is yet to be segmented as a
first-line vertical but the trend is catching up fast in India considering the
increasing number of labor issues that crop up within an organization.
Keeping in mind the largely untapped Indian market of human capital management,
the workforce management solutions provider, Kronos, has announced its expansion
plans in India.
The three decades old Chelmsfordbased company has unveiled its next generation
user interface as part of a vision for the future of workforce management. Based
on the idea that users should not have to choose between deep functionality
and ease of use, Kronos is planning to focus its strategy on instant engagement
and guided decisions.
Aron Ain, Chief Executive Officer, Kronos, said, The Indian market represents
a tremendous opportunity for workforce management solutions. As the worldwide
market leader, we are best poised to service this requirement. We have experienced
stupendous traction in terms of our sales operations in India. As a result,
Kronos India is expanding its ecosystem in India in the coming year."
James Thomas, Country Manager, Kronos India, added, Kronos next
generation of workforce management will revolutionize the way companies manage
their workforce by delivering a user-centric experience which is intuitive and
guided towards proactive, smart HR decisions for enhanced workforce effectiveness
and productivity.
To accommodate its planned growth, Kronos has moved its India operation to a
new location in Bagmane Tech Park. Kronos also houses a development center in
Noida. The field operations and worldwide support will be run from Bangalore
and Mumbai.
Kronos is planning to score a 10-fold growth in India in terms of revenue and
strengthen headcount by two or three-fold from its current headcount of just
over 100.
We are betting big on India, maintained Ain.
The solution claims to be fully complaint with the labor laws of the land to
target any-size company with a threshold of 500 plus employees.
Thomas further added, We will bring special packages to meet the needs
of the mid-market segment. Ain added that one-third of the Kronos
business is driven from the mid-market segment.
