MAIA Intelligence BI Quiz

The business intelligence solutions provider MAIA Intelligence initiated a BI Quotient quiz for all the CIOs who had gathered at the Technology Senate organized by The Indian Express Ltd

The quiz was conducted during all the three days to gain insight into the level of understanding the CIOs had into the Business Intelligence industry space, besides the network that these participants had with their peer group.

MAIA conducted a cross word puzzle game amongst the CIOs to seek answers from them on varied questions related to BI. Five participants were picked from a draw from the puzzle answers to face the BI quiz. The MAIA executive defined the rules with the quiz having three rounds. Round one had one question to each participant to be answered in 30 seconds having 20 points for each correct answer, with no transfer or pass of question.

The second round was a common play where each participant would simultaneously write the answer to a single question, with 10 points each for right answer given 60 seconds to answer, with a maximum of 50 points for each participant.

Round three included buzzer play, with 20 points for each correct answer and 40 points to be deducted for any wrong answer, with each participant being given 30 seconds to come up with an answer.

The participants for the quiz included K P Parab, chief-IT, Pidilite Industries Ltd., Suresh Kamath, Sr. GM-IT, Concept Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Manikkam Subramaniam, Head-IT Henkel CAC Pvt. Ltd., Vilas Pujari, CIO, ACG Worldwide, Sanjay Rawa, AVP& finance controller, Zensar Technologies Ltd.

The second runner-up in the MAIA BI Quiz turned out to be K P Parab from Pidilite, the first runner up being Manikkam Subarmaniam from Henkal, while Vilas Pujari of ACG Worldwide emerged as the winner of the quiz.
