SAP World tour: Clear New World
SAP customers, partners and industry experts in India gathered
recently for a business and technology road show hosted by the vendor. The theme
was See Your Way Clear: Strategies for Success in the New Reality. The
event explored how Indian companies could achieve transparency in every area
of their operations. Attendees at the annual event learned how to harness SAP
solutions to run lean operations, capture greater profitability and gain transparency
in their operations. In India, the SAP World Tour unveiled 'Clear New World'
as a new midterm strategic thrust.
The SAP World Tour featured four Industry tracks covering Government, Utilities,
operational excellence and strategic IT. SAP customers who delivered presentations
at SAP World Tour included ONGC, ABB, RIL, Unilever, BPCL and Hero Honda.
The event featured a keynote presentation from Ranjan Das,
Managing Director, SAP Indian subcontinent. Das focused on how technology enables
companies to derive increased understanding, visibility and valueboth
of their own operations and those of their partner networks, ultimately allowing
them to capitalize on strategic opportunities to increase profitability. To
survive in today's business environment, companies must see, think and act clearly.
This allows companies to survive and thrive in the near term
and to sustain in the long term. Clear enterprises operate with increased speed,
relevance and accuracy and can therefore drive their businesses with the ability
to adjust strategies, processes, business network quickly in response to changing
market conditions.

One of the highlights of the SAP World tour was the Asia Leadership dialogue,
which SAP brought to each stop in partnership with the Platinum circle, a private
community of enterprises. The Asia Leadership dialogue in India featured a keynote
and discussion with Gaurav Dalmia, Board Member, Dalmia Group & Chairman,
Landmark Holdings, who spoke about Leadership in new Asia.
