Logitech’s V500 cordless notebook mouse

Features: The mouse features a 4-way solid-state scroll panel, expandable chassis, 2.4 GHz micro-receiver, and an all-terrain optical engine. The product is deigned for the mobile professional, and its integrated power management system includes a battery-saving on-off switch and status indicator. At 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches by 1 1/8 inches, and weighing 2.3 ounces, it is said to be the smallest and lightest mouse around. However, when opened for use, the expandable chassis rises seven degrees, or about a quarter inch. The chassis contains a slot to store and protect its 2.4 GHz micro-receiver.

Aladdin’s Multimedia’s Diskeeper 10

Features: The software’s primary function is to de-fragment discs. It prevents fragmentation of system files through Frag Shield, and this can be micro-managed through directory group policy templates. Diskeeper features a de-fragmentation engine that runs in the background, eliminating fragmentation. The various editions of Diskeeper run on the Intel x86 platform running Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95/98/Me.

Asus’ PhysX P1 card

Features: Asus’ PhysX P1 card has Ageia’s PhysX Processing Unit for video realism in games. It has 128-bit GDDR3 memory architecture, 128 MB memory capacity, 12 Gb/sec memory bandwidth, 733 MHz memory data rate, 20 billion instructions/sec, 530 million max sphere-sphere collisions/sec, and 533,000 max convex-convex (complex) collisions/sec. The card renders realistic explosions, flying debris, liquid flows, water splashes and movements influenced by wind.

Sony’s VRD-MC1 DVD recorder

Features: The VRD-MC1 recorder can transfer home video footage from a camcorder or VCR tape to a DVD without a computer. It has a two-inch colour LCD screen for previewing video and images, and can burn up to 12 hours of high-quality hardware encoded MPEG-2 video on DVD+R DL Double Layer discs, or up to six hours of video or up to 2,000 photos onto standard single layer discs. 

The recorder incorporates digital and analog video/audio inputs, letting you plug in a camcorder or VCR to transfer tape-based videos to DVD; it sports slots for five types of digital camera memory cards.

The VRD-MC1 recorder comes with the Nero software suite to use when it is attached to a PC via a USB 2.0 cable.
