Aten’s Petite CS-62B

Features: This two-port PS/2 KVM switch integrates the support of speakers and microphones. The CS-62B allows independent switching of the KVM and audio focus between the computers. Users can input sound to both computers (one at a time) and listen to the audio output of both computers (one at a time) on a single microphone and single set of speakers. The CS-62B Petite KVM switch controls two computers from one video monitor, PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, speakers and microphone console. The device supports a resolution of 2048x1536, DDC2B, and the Microsoft IntelliMouse and scrolling wheel function of most mice as well. The CS-62B switch is compatible with all major operating systems (Win XP, Win ME, Win 2000, Win 2003, Win 98, NT and Linux). It comes with in-built custom KVM cables (1,8m, 6 ft).

Nokia’s 6708

Features: Nokia has announced the availability of the Nokia 6708, its first stylus input device for business users. The phone supports touch-screen pen input with English handwriting recognition. The pen input uses a full display screen to write in continuous strokes, and has a virtual keyboard to touch type messages and data. Some of the other features include talk time of three to six hours, standby time of 148 to 275 hours, SMS remote lock to auto-lock phone when lost, built-in memory of 18 MB SD RAM and 30MB flash, hot swap memory (SD and mini SD) card support of up to 2 GB (the maximum card size available), messaging (SMS, MMS, and e-mail with attachments), clock, alarm, PIM, 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3, midi, wav, video, speakerphone, XHTML/HTML browser, and Symbian and Java applications. The touch screen is 2.66 inches wide. It supports POP3/IMAP4/SMTP e-mail protocols with attachments.

Kodak’s Versamark VT3000 colour printing system

Features: This is a digital printing system for variable data in black, spot colour or process colour, depending on the configuration. It utilises continuous inkjet print head technology.

The VT3000 can be upgraded from a basic simplex monochrome system to a duplex process colour system and every step in between. The system is available in three speeds: 250 fpm (76 mpm), 350 fpm (107 mpm) and 500 fpm (152 mpm). In a two-up duplex configuration, it delivers anything from 1,090 impressions per minute to 2,180 impressions per minute (dependent on speed).

It offers an upgrade path from the VJ1000 to spot or process colour, re-use controller, pre/post processing equipment, and print heads, and is available in 11 configurations. It has resolutions up to 300x600 dpi.

NEC’s NP2000 and 1000 projectors

Features: These wireless projectors can produce 30 to 500-inch diagonal pictures. Equipped with five lens options, these lenses are installed using a bayonet fitting.

The NP2000 projectors support 4000 ANSI Lumens, and NP1000 3500 ANSI Lumens. Other features include direct power on/off, automatic cool down, HD compatible DVI with HDCP and component inputs, vertical and horizontal lens shift (up to 50 percent on the vertical, 20 percent horizontal), and 3D reform and geometric software options for projection solutions.

Microsoft’s LifeCam VX-6000

Features: The LifeCam VX-6000 offers 1.3 megapixel video and 5.0 megapixels interpolated still photography with built-in microphone. It has Windows live call button, 71 degree wide-angle lens, universal attachment base, 3X digital zoom, pan and tilt functionality, automatic face-tracking software, six-foot cable, and USB 2 video effects. It captures video at 30 frames per second.
