Fujitsu’s LifeBook T4020 Tablet PC

Features: LifeBook T4020 is a convertible tablet PC, weighs less than two kilograms, and comes with an in-built modular bay device. It has a battery life of up to 8.5 hours with an optional bay battery, and comes with a built-in hard disc of up to 80 GB, 512 MB memory, Intel wireless 2915 ABG network connection, and Intel graphics media accelerator.

Additional features include 12.1” XGA TFT display, dual-layer super multi-DVD writer and Sigma Test STAC 9753A AC97 audio. The tablet PC comes with BIOS, hard disc and LifeBook locks, anti-theft lock slot, smart card and fingerprint sensors.

LifeBook T4020 supports Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC edition, Intel’s 915 GM chipset,and Intel Pentium M Processor 750 (1.86 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 533 MHz FSB).

Intex’s DVD player

Features: The multi-purpose DVD player plays DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD, JPEG CD, MP3, MP4 and WMAs. With a screen-saving function the player also supports a video-out for monitors.

There is support for S-Video, component video (Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr) and VGA output. The other features include error correction, multi-colour changing display, multi-angle viewing selection, karaoke function, super-scan playback (2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, 32X) and picture zoom. Its scan feature helps run scratched DVDs and VCDs. Additionally, it has features such as key and prologic audio controls that balance the echo and other audio disturbances.

Western Digital’s WD Raptor X

Features: The 10,000 rpm Serial ATA hard drives feature 150 GB capacity, 16 MB cache and Native Command Queuing for peak performance.

WD Raptor X features a large clear lens embedded on the top through which the read and write action of the drive’s head and disc assembly can be viewed while the drive delivers data, audio and video content and games to the user.

It also employs Rotary Accelerometer Feed Forward technology, which protects drive performance from rotational vibration created by fans and other hard drives that reduce performance.

Avid’s Liquid Pro 7

Features: Avid Liquid Pro v.7 is a video editor that offers compositing, titling, audio, integrated DVD authoring, surround-sound support, background rendering and multi-format editing.

Avid Liquid Pro 7 hardware and software provides a range of analog and digital input and output for audio and video, and attaches to external USB-2 controllers on a host PC. Additionally, Avid Liquid Edition’s FireWire-enabled plug-and-play support allows editors to edit on location with a portable laptop computer. One can capture videos from, edit, and transfer them back to a wide array of camcorders, VTRs and Web streams.

Avid Liquid Pro 7 includes features to edit multiple streams of native SD and high-definition content.

It offers effects like 2D, 3D and advanced colour correction. One can also output audio mixes to Dolby Digital 5.1 and burn a DVD.
