Western Digital’s Raptor

Features: The 10,000 rpm WD Raptor enterprise Serial ATA hard drive comes with a 150 GB capacity and has additional features for server and networked storage applications.

The random I/O performance with native command queuing enables multiple simultaneous read and write commands. The 16 MB cache helps the drive to serve and record data quickly for multiple users. The drive offers an average seek time of 4.6 milliseconds. Genius’ G-Shot DV611

Features: The G-Shot DV611 is a video camera with 6-in-1 functionality. It includes a digital video camera, digital still camera, USB 2.0 Webcam, digital voice recorder, MP3 player and a mass storage device. Controlled by remote, it has a 3.0 megapixel CMOS sensor with 8X digital zoom, maximum interpolation of up to 6.6 mega pixels, and 32 MB of built-in memory. The G-Shot DV611 uses MPEG4 compression technology for video to reduce the file size. With an optional 512 MB SD memory card, the G-Shot DV611 can record for 60 minutes. Sun Microsystems’ SunFire T1000 server

Features: The server has the 1.0 GHz UltraSPARC T1 processor with CoolThreads technology that offers six or eight cores with four threads per core. The cache per processor can handle 16 KB of data, 8 KB of instruction, and has 3 MB integrated L2. The main memory comes with eight DIMM slots, DDR2 with Chipkill, and DRAM supporting up to 16 GB.
