Altec’s iM7 portable speaker

Features: Altec’s iM7 is a portable inMotion speaker suitable for iPod, iPod mini and iPod photo. It includes two 1-inch tweeters, two 3-inch mid-range drivers, a 4-inch side-firing subwoofer and a 4-inch passive radiator. These components combine with Altec Lansing’s new high-efficiency digital amplification technology and XdB onboard digital signal processor to deliver clear room-filling sound from every track.

The iM7 offers a battery-operated mode for unplugged use. It comes with built-in handle as well as optional accessories, including a shoulder harness that lets you listen as you walk, and a protective shoulder pack for easy transport. The unit contains an AC power supply (international plug) set for times when an electrical outlet is available. It also has a wireless remote that provides across-the-room control of iPod song navigation, as well as the speaker system’s on/off, volume and separate bass and treble functions.

For iPod photo users, the unit includes S-Video and Composite video output connectors that make it possible for iPod photos to be enlarged and viewed on almost any television.

Intex’s 006L laptops

Features: Intex Technologies has introduced its range of laptops, the 006L series. The Wi-Fi-enabled series features Intel Pentium M processors DOTHON 1.7 GHz with 2 MB L 2 cache, Intel 915 GM chipset with embedded 3D engine and PCMCIA Slot. Other features include a 15.4-inches-wide screen, 256 MB RAM, 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabyte LAN, 4-in-1 card reader, graphic engine and 40 GB hard drive.

The 006LT has an in-built TV tuner card with remote that allows the user to record TV programmes onto the hard disk. With its numerous workstation and multimedia applications, it provides mobility, advanced performance and entertainment at the same time.
