Toshiba’s Qosmio F20

Features: Qosmio F20 is a four-in-one digital notebook featuring a 450NIT (2lamps) High Luminance Clear SuperView 15.4-inch wide-screen display. It comes with integrated TV tuner, digital video recorder (DVR), DVD SuperMulti double layer drive, virtual surround-sound stereo.

It offers Qosmio player, which allows users to watch TV, DVDs or listen CDs with remote control without booting up the Windows operating systems.

Epson’s PictureMate 100

Features: The PictureMate 100 is a one-touch personal photo lab solution, which allows users to connect directly from digital cameras. Its easy-to-use functions allow users to easily print their digital memories. It also works as Polaroid replacements when making test prints during formal photo shoots.

Users can view and select images for print from the PictureMate 100’s 1.5-inch colour display. The product is capable of direct printing from PictBridge and USB Direct Print digital cameras. It supports direct printing via memory cards and other external devices, allowing users to bypass complicated PC operations. An optional Bluetooth adapter enables users to print wirelessly from mobile phones and PDAs. The PictureMate PicturePack offers a value pack that consists of ink cartridge and 100 pieces of glossy photo paper in a pack.

Aten’s CL-1216

Features: The CL-1216 have built-in 8 and 16-port KVM switches, which enable administrators to chain up to 31 additional KVM switches, allowing them to control up to 512 servers from a single 1U device. It also offers dual console management. The Slideaway module features a 15” or 17” high resolution LCD monitor, keyboard and touchpad, can slide back into the rack and automatically falls into sleep mode when not in use. Ports can be selected through push buttons that are on the keyboard panel, or through hotkeys or On Screen Display (OSD) menu, while maintaining high resolution with the DDC emulation of the LCD monitor. The broadcast command allows the administrator to send commands to all servers on the installation for ease of management.

In addition to the integrated KVM console, the unit supports another PS/2 console connection that allows simultaneous server control from a second PS/2 console.

SCEL’s Tablet PC NB7630-N7

Features: Sahara Computers and Electronics Ltd (SCEL) has launched the Windows XP Tablet PC (NB7630-N7), powered by Intel Pentium M Dothan 1.7GHz processor.

The tablet PC supports 512 MB DDR RAM which can be further augmented to 2 GB RAM. It comes with an 80 GB Ultra ATA 4200 HDD and a DVD R/RW capable of writing at 8/4/8X speed.

The compact Wi-Fi tablet PC comes with a 12.1-inch TFT display that offers 180 degree rotation, sports battery life of 3.5-4 hours and weighs just about 2.5 Kg.

The notebook comes with a pre-programmed application launch keypad that sports functions on just a touch of a button, these being screen rotation, first menu function, W-LAN activation and deactivation function, presentation mode function. It also comes with a Pen Digitiser for applications launch and digital inking.

The product supports 4 USB 2.0 ports and one port each for sound/volume control, D-Sub VGA Port, S-Video TV out port, DC in Jack, Headphone Out Jack, Microphone Jack, compatible RJs for phone and LAN and a Kensington Lock Hole.

Sharp’s XV-Z100

Features: Sharp has launched the XV-Z100 home theatre projector for the theatre experience at home. The projector has a 16:9 widescreen display,with a true WVGA resolution that can project a 100 inch 16:9 image from a distance of 4 meters. This image size can go upto 300 inches.

Its DLP technology ensures dust resistance, while its Condenser Lens technology ensures image uniformity. The XV-Z100 features a 5x speed colour wheel which spins to give approximately 256 shades for each of the primary colours or a total of 16.7 million possible colours can be generated. The product provides two different resolution modes via the remote.

Elicitus’ SlideConverter

Features: Elicitus SlideConverter converts, preserves and reproduces elements of PowerPoint slides such as textboxes, bullets, formatting, pictures, background, sound, movie, WordArt, AutoShapes, callouts, and slide master.

Before conversion, Elicitus SlideConverter displays a list of all slide titles. The user can import the entire slide presentation in one-click. Alternatively, the user can preview thumbnails and selects slides for conversion into Elicitus topic pages.

Once the slides are brought in Elicitus, users can modify each one of them at will or simply publish the content to AICC or SCORM. The SlideConverter also creates a log of the import process.
