Brother starts ‘Service First’ Programme

R S Anand Kumar

Japanese electronics and imaging major, Brother International, has introduced a ‘Service First’ programme wherein the company is offering a three-year warranty on its laser printers and laser multi-functional devices (MFD). For the inkjet MFDs, the company is providing a one-year warranty.

R S Anand Kumar, Country Manager, Brother, comments, “Our objective is to boost customer loyalty and provide them with increased support and warranty for the Brother range of products in India.” The company has also announced extended warranty packages for customers beyond the three, two or one-year offerings. It has tied up with Accel ICIM Frontline as its national service partner.

Accel will provide third-party service for the vendor’s range of inkjets, laser MFDs and fax machines.

Says Kumar, “With Accel’s presence in 35 locations all over India, we feel that we can increase our marketshare in B&C-cities.” Further, with Accel, Brother is conducting service weeks in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. During this week, customers can bring their Brother machines for free service at any of the local Accel centres.
