DELL opens third customer contact centre in India

Michael Dell

Michael Dell, Chairman, Dell, launched the company’s third customer contact centre in India at Mohali in the presence of Capt. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab, and senior executives of the company. This centre will begin operations with approximately 300 employees. Dell established its first India customer contact centre at Bangalore in May 2001, then opened its second centre at Hyderabad in March 2003. The success of these facilities encouraged Dell to expand to Mohali. These three centres are part of a global network of approximately 50 centres that Dell operates.

“The quality of the Mohali workforce coupled with the state’s commitment to information technology growth will help us adhere to the highest levels of service,” said Dell. The new facility will initially provide technical support and customer care to Dell customers in the United States.
