Xerox launches digital printing solutions

Xerox Modicorp has launched 12 products (8 in digital printing and 4 in software applications) at PRINTPACK India 2005, Asia’s showcase of graphic art production and services.

Xerox also introduced its range of software solutions—FreeFlow Suite, FreeFlow Partner Software and business development tools. These software solutions allow businesses to improve workflow efficiency, reduce costs and improve profitability. Xerox has extended its “Graphic Arts Premier Partners” programme to India. As a part of this forum, Indian printers can share knowledge, build vendor relationships and work with printers across the world.

Xerox has institutionalised the PIXI awards (Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging) for the Indian market. The PIXI awards are designed to reward and reinforce partnerships between printers, their customers, and other key players in ‘The New Business of Printing’. These awards will honour excellence and innovation in digital printing applications and demonstrate new uses of technology. In The New Business of Printing, the printed pieces may look the same, but the process that produced them has been evolved based on the power and versatility of digital content. Unlike traditional printing presses, these digital printers and presses connect to networks, databases, the Internet, and most importantly, to the end customer. Xerox solutions offer high levels of variable data printing, production management and Web enablement.

Vipin Tuteja, director, Productions Systems Group, XeroxModicorp said, “Xerox is committed to launching the iGen3, our top-of-the-line digital production press in India. We will be making significant investments in training and developing the infrastructure necessary to bring iGen3 to India.”

The newly launched products include: the DocuColor 8000, DocuColor 5252 Digital ColorPress, Xerox 6050 Wide Format Printer, Nuvera 120 Digital Production System, Nuvera 120 Copier/Printer, XeroxPhaser 7750, DocuPrint 7000 CF Series and the XeroxWorkCentre M24.
