Promantra plans JV in Philippines
Promantra Synergy Solutions, a BPO for healthcare companies, is expanding its
Indian operations and planning a joint venture (JV) in Philippines. The company
has invested $1 million in India and plans to invest an equal amount over the
next six months. Promantra has been chosen among the annual Offshore-100
round-up of top global suppliers by the offshore advisory consultant neoIT.
The company has also been named among the top five rookies (new players) in
global outsourcing services.
Dr Praveen Vadlamuni, CEO, Promantra, says, We are planning to double
the headcount from the existing level of 150 and negotiations for the JV in
Philippines are in a advanced stage. We are in the process of releasing an integrated
software suite for healthcare companies.
Oracle introduces Carrier Grade Framework
Oracle has launched Carrier Grade Framework (CGF), a new initiative designed
to help communication service providers (CSPs) and network equipment manufacturers
(NEMs) leverage standards-based technology to meet customer demands and improve
time to market for new services including high-speed broadband content and 3G
mobile applications.
Carrier Grade Framework will allow communication service providers and
network equipment manufacturers to realise dramatic new cost efficiencies and
speed time to market for new services, said Andy Mendelsohn, senior vice
president, Database Server Technologies at Oracle.
Paradyne files for IPO
Paradyne Infotech, a Mumbai-based software solutions provider
has filed its draft prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India
(SEBI). The objective of the IPO is to raise funds for expansion, set up a data
centre and call centre and upgrade its research & development lab.
