Features: GPS India has announced the availability in India of GPSMAP 276C, a portable navigational device useful to transport operators (land or sea), trucking companies, as well as individuals, especially for those who do a lot of interstate travel. As the device has interstate and major highway maps pre-fed, it enables a driver to reach any destination. The route is indicated in a colour line, and the driver’s position is seen as a black triangle which reflects the moving position of the vehicle in real-time. Other features include navigator optimal course (chart plotter), speed, distance travelled and time estimations. The device comes with a 256-colour TFT display and built-in basemap. Logistical applications of the device include interstate transport and courier and cargo companies, where specific routes can be mapped for drivers to follow.
