Serial Attached SCSI
SCSI is an acronym for Small Computer Systems Interconnect. It is indeed ironic that this attribute (small) hasn’t been applied to SCSI in the true sense for more than a decade. In fact, this protocol—originally designed for disks attached to stand-alone workstations—now provides data to the biggest machines in large enterprises.

Beyond CRM...

Novell ships desktop Linux for enterprises

Red Hat launches Fedora 3
Red Hat India has announced the third release of Fedora—Fedora Core 3. This OS supports five Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi and Tamil. Fedora is a Red Hat-sponsored and community-supported open source project.

3Com announces terabit switching solutions
3Com has announced its entry into the terabit switching solutions market with the launch of the 3Com Switch 8800 family of terabit switches. The 8800 series anchors the company’s broad LAN switch product portfolio.

Sun’s Solaris 10 ready to roll
Senior executives from Sun Microsystems will take the stage on Monday at the company’s last quarterly Network Computing event at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose to finally unveil the Solaris 10 operating system, which is scheduled to ship by the end of January 2005.

A world first from ASUS
ASUSTeK Computer Inc., one of the leaders in the motherboard market, has launched the A8N-SLI Deluxe, the first AMD-based motherboard that provides support for SLI (Scalable Link Interface) to enable simultaneous operation of two PCI Express graphics cards.
