DELL has launched
Inspiron 700m and Inspiron 510m notebooks. The Inspiron 700m has a 12.1"
display and is powered by Intel's latest Dothan processors, the Intel Pentium
M 725 (1.6 GHz) including internal wireless capabilities. The memory can be
configured from 256 MB to 2 GB.
The 510m comes with Intel Centrino mobile technology, an Intel Pentium M processor
705 (1.50 GHz), and an Intel Pro wireless 2100 WLAN (802.11b/g) card. Two USB
2.0 ports and an IEEE 1394 port round off the configuration.
AVENTAIL has introduced
Aventail EX-750, an SSL VPN appliance targeted at mid-sized companies or departments
with up to 50 concurrent users. The device is built on the ASAP (Anywhere Secure
Access Policy) platform, which integrates the application access, policy management
and End Point Control (EPC) functions. The device offers optional access methods
via Aventail OnDemand—a downloadable Java agent—for broad application
access to client/server applications. There’s also Aventail Connect, a
Web-deployed Windows agent for application access with additional network and
desktop protection.

which can be used by professionals for transferring huge multimedia files and
presentations to a notebook.
