TravelMate 244FX
ACER India has launched
the TravelMate 244FX, an Intel Celeron 2.6 GHz powered notebook with 128 MB
DDR RAM, a 20 GB hard disk and a 14.1-inch screen. It runs Red Hat Linux and
has a CD-ROM, 56K fax modem and four USB ports. This entry-level notebook is
targeted at the SMB, SOHO and education segments.

Nokia
N-Gage QD
NOKIA has
launched a mobile game deck called the N-Gage QD. It doubles as a GPRS handset.
The device offers personal information management, an XHTML browser and an e-mail
application. It can download and install additional Series 60 applications.
120 Nokia Java Games, including popular titles such as Racing Fever, Legend
of Ninja and a number of soccer, golf and tennis titles have been released simultaneously.
The N-Gage QD lets users play multi-player games over Bluetooth or through mobile
networks.

PowerEdge 7250 server
DELL has launched the
PowerEdge 7250 server, a 4-way, Itanium 2 system in a 4U-rack form factor. The
device has eight PCI-X slots and comes factory-installed with Microsoft Windows
Server 2003 Enterprise Edition or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 and Dell’s
OpenManage standards-based systems management suite. Its large memory configuration
of 32 GB is well suited for 64-bit enterprise applications such as data mining,
business intelligence and digital animation.
