HP DesignJet 100
HP has announced its first multi-format colour printer for good quality printing for CAD professionals. The HP DesignJet 100 combines large-format and wide-format capabilities into a single device. It provides the versatility to conduct colour printing in-house, on a wide range of papers and media sizes, without sacrificing speed. Priced at Rs 69,500, HP DesignJet 100 is ideally suited for a small business environment for technical professionals such as CAD professionals, AEC professionals and students, as well as professionals in architecture firms, interior design firms and engineering firms.
The printer offers photo quality with up to 1200x600 dpi resolution using HP colour layering technology. Its multiple paper paths avoid unloading and reloading media every time users want to change paper size— one standard tray for common office sizes such as letter, A4, tabloid and A3 and a manual sheet feed path for larger sizes up to 24-inches wide—lending to greater user convenience. Four individually replaceable ink cartridges make colour cost-effective. In addition, users can control the amount of ink used by selecting a print quality mode for drafts to final copies. Smart printing features control interaction between the print heads, ink cartridges, and print media to optimise print quality.

Dynalog
Nport Server Family
Moxa’s NPort Server products are designed to act as a bridge for Serial-to-Ethernet connectivity, and can be used to network numerous serial devices that do not have a built-in Ethernet port.
The NPort Server family provides 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 RS-232 or RS-422/485 ports, and one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface. This allows Windows NT, Windows 95/98, and PC-based Unix hosts to control numerous distributed RS-232/422/485 serial devices, such as instruments, terminals, modems, sensors, and industrial equipment, over TCP/IP networks. This dedicated port driver enables Windows NT and Windows 95/98 hosts to transparently access the ports on an NPort Server product as if they were physical COM ports. MOXA CN2500 Async Server, with the latest 10/100 Mbps LAN interface and 4/8/16 serial interfaces, can be used to establish LAN-to-Async connectivity, such as async device control in the telecom industry, remote access in enterprise networks, and terminal access in financial / travel services.
