NewTouch Keyboard Series

Logitech has launched two new keyboards the NewTouch keyboard and NewTouch Multimedia Keyboard in India

The NewTouch Multimedia Keyboard has a standard keyboard layout with easy one-touch media control, which plays CD, DVD and MP3 media files. It integrates the Web, e-mail, search, and other favourite applications with a one-touch Internet access key.

The NewTouch basic keyboard has full-size, responsive typing keys, which allow for easy keystrokes and a familiar, comfortable key layout. Both keyboards are ergonomically designed with adjustable height and unique keycap to help you to type with comfort and ease. The gently curved palm rest can be easily detached if you want more desk space, and reattached to rest your hands on.

The NewTouch keyboard is available with the palm rest whereas the NewTouch Multimedia keyboard doesn’t have the palm rest.

Both NewTouch keyboards are convenient to use, as they are compatible with Microsoft Windows platform, version 3.x and above. Equipped with smart cable storage design, it allows you to keep your desktop clean and clutter free.

The Basic and Multimedia Keyboards are competitively priced at Rs 475 and Rs 900 respectively.

Available with PS/2 connector, Logitech NewTouch Keyboard and NewTouch Multimedia Keyboard can be used by IBM-compatible systems with Windows 3.x or above operating system. Both products come with a one-year warranty.

Microtek International has launched a three piece Maxpower sub woofer system with built-in amplifier and speakers and output of 1400W PMPO. The company claims, this system, with its elegant looks and rich sound quality, is the right choice for all real music lovers.

Its 3D Surround sound and Pure Spruce Cone Diaphragm is designed to give a balanced sonic output, which makes listening to music an enjoyable experience.

The system is magnetically shielded to prevent interference with the display quality on the user’s monitor or corrupting data on magnetic media such as floppy disks or hard disk drives. Its design, according to company sources, has been specially engineered to deliver precision audio sound over a wide spectrum of frequency range. SDLT320 Tape Drive

Tandberg Data Asia has announced the availability of a mid-range tape drive, the SDLT320, which offers a compressed capacity of 320 GB and a transfer rate of 32 MB/s.

In addition, the Tandberg SDLT320 offers investment protection by offering full backward read compatibility to all DLTtape IV media, and full read and write compatibility to the SDLT220. The SDLT320 is also fully compatible with the world’s leading server brands, operating systems and backup application software.

SDLT320 drives are offered in both internal as well as external configurations. The SDLT320 offers best-in-class-reliability with 250,000 hour MTBF; a 30,000 hour recording head life time, and media use of one million passes.

Transfin

Bangalore-based TechnoSoft has announced the launch of Transfin, an accounting and inventory management software package. The product is based on RDBMS technology, which offers flexibility and compatibility to users by supporting diverse sets of application server back-ups like Oracle, SQL and Microsoft Access. Transfin runs only on Windows platform.

Transfin is available in two versions: Standalone and multiple-user. While the standalone version is priced at Rs 6,000, the multi-user one costs Rs 1,000 per user. One crucial feature of the software is security, which is module-based. This essentially means that specific users in an enterprise can be assigned individual modules across the network.

Data Migration: The software enables the user to migrate data from other accounting softwares and also uploads its data on the Web. Companies can load their annual reports on the Net.
