ChequeMotif is a GUI-based cheque printing and cheque management software utilising the GUI features of Microsoft Windows effectively. The software also provides an array of reports supporting payment transactions

Cheque Management System (ChequeMotif) is a computerised system for printing cheques quickly and without errors.
With this package, the user has to just enter the cheque amount and payee details and the system will print the cheques automatically without any further assistance from the user. Features such as auto entry of dates, re-use of available payee names, addresses, telephone numbers and auto generation of cheque amount in words will also be soon made available.

In addition, users can change the data field position as per the format laid out by different banks. In this system, users see the background cheque image for a particular bank’s cheque and can arrange the fields, e.g. cheque date, cheque amount, cheque payee name and users’ authorised stamp data and save that template for future use.

The ChequeMotif software package keeps track of the cheque leaves accounting i.e. the system will track the number of cheques printed, number of cheques cancelled, number of cheques prepared manually, total number of cheques issued etc.

Nortel Networks has introduced Business Communications Manager 2.5 feature pack 1, that offers a suite of free upgrade enhancements to existing business communications manager customers. It also offers wireless VoIP capabilities as an add-on application to branch offices and small-to-medium businesses.

The Business Communications Manager platform, which already provides a variety of desktop communications options such as unified messaging management and multimedia call centre applications, will now also deliver workplace mobility through feature pack 1, giving customers a competitive advantage.

Feature pack 1 provides the following free software enhancements to current business communications manager customers: ‘CallPilot Wizard’ that allows multiple mailboxes and settings to be established at one time; Direct Mode for multiple IP address support, enhancing multi-user intra and extranet usage; IP View to give remote call centre workers the ability to view activity throughout the system, included with the call centre reporting keycode; Backup Restore Utility (BRU) that will allow backup to remote locations for storage; and Call Detail Recording (CDR) for billing purposes and enhanced ‘push technology’ simplifying administration and information sharing.

SS7 Analyser

The SS7 Analyser is an optional feature-rich application running under GL Communications’ T1/E1 Analyser. The analyser performs SS7 analysis in real time as well as off line, using GL’s Ultra T1/E1 internal-to-PC cards or GL’s Dual Laptop T1/E1 external-to-PC product.

The real-time mode of operation is used to capture and analyse streams of frames on the SS7 links. Captured information can be saved to disk for later offline analysis.

MTP2 is parsed in conformance with ANSI-ITU standards. Higher level SS7 layer information parsing is governed by the user’s selection of TUP, ISUP, SCCP, TCAP, GSM-MAP, IS-41, INAP etc., which is based on national and international SS7 variants.

Two Ultra T1 (or E1) cards having digital and analogue inputs and outputs are shown. Digital inputs are used to non-intrusively interface to T1 (or E1) lines in bridge or monitor modes. Digital outputs can be used to generate digital T1/E1 signals. Basic software for analyser can be used to monitor T1/E1.
