Best IT World launches iKey

Circuit EC/Mumbai

Parasrampuria says the launch reinforces the company’s commitment to offering the most innovative products

Close on the heels of the successful launch of iBrain and iBall, The Best IT World (India), the Rs 540 million IT products, services and solutions company, has launched the iKey range of keyboards. “This,” says Sandeep Parasrampuria, director of the company, “is a sign of our renewed commitment to providing the IT world with the latest innovative products and value for money. Till last year, we were involved mainly in sub-distribution. With the launch of iBrain in May, we embarked on a branding exercise and followed it up with iBall in September end and now iKey.”

iKey covers a wide range of products-from the beginner level Soft Key (107 keys with rugged and long lasting features), Maxi Key (126 key multimedia keyboard, a boon for any keyboard) to Power Key (the multi-tasking keyboard being launched for the first time in India). Says Parasrampuria, “Power Key makes computing a pleasure. It has many one-touch keys that perform tasks so easily and comfortably that it renders every other computer accessory useless.”

Commenting on the hardware scene, Parasrampuria points out that things have pretty much stabilised in this segment and there not be further changes at lest for the next few quarters. He adds that this is a time for consolidation and the company will be focussing on establishing itself as the vendor of choice in the products space. He says, “The Indian PC market has grown phenomenally. Even though growth rates have fallen in recent times, the potential in this market is still huge and this is what we plan to tap. In the years to come, we will make this one of our main thrust areas.”
